Great American Songbook Concert at Lipscomb University - Shamblin Theatre

The concert will feature solo performances from students in Lipscomb's vocal program. The theme of the concert is "Your Hit Parade 1936," modeled after a radio show where the week's top songs were performed by a live band and vocalists for a nationwide audience. WPLN's radio personality Blake Farmer will serve as emcee/announcer for the event.

Songs performed will include "It's De'Lovely" by Cole Porter, "The Glory of Love," "Until the Real Thing Comes Along," "I've Got You Under My Skin," "I'm an Old Cowhand," "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie" and "Pennies from Heaven."

Light refreshments will be served before the concert. Seating is limited; guests should arrive early for the best seating.

Admission is free.
